Old path to Katharo plateau (loop)

From road who drive to plateau from Kritsa, at sixth km. aproxx is dirt road to Tapes village, park thear and start walk in dirt road to Tapes.
The corner is livestock for partridges and rabbits,at the end of that start the path. There is some pieces of the path and before but is small and in the fences. This is aproxx 5km clear until the entrance of plateau, at the point Damakas. We are walking until under Damakas at the point of Astividopo where is a nice open theatre and the area where the cultural association of Kritsa every summer organize the fullmoon night with live music.
Path is very clear and big,for donkeys in two directions ! Long, easy ascent till the end .
No water at the area
Return from asphalt road except small chop off at the area with old stone houses.
Dont forget to visit the cave on the the way back.

Το παλιό μονοπάτι για το οροπέδιο Καθαρού ,κανονική λεωφόρος για την εποχή του , το καθαρό κομμάτι του ξεκινά απ το δρόμο που οδηγεί στις Τάπες πηγαίνοντας για Καθαρό.
Αμέσως μετά τα εκτροφεία πέρδικας και Λαγού αριστερά όλο πάνω σιγά σιγά και σχεδόν παράλληλα με το δρόμο σε αρκετά σημεία, ανεβαίνει μέχρι την είσοδο του οροπεδίου στη θέση Δάμακας. Εμείς πήγαμε μέχρι ακριβώς απόκατω, στη θέση Αστιβιδωπό όπου υπάρχει και ο χώρος του ωραιότατου ανοιχτού θεάτρου και όπου γίνεται η περίφημη Φεγγαροβραδιά κάθε καλοκαίρι.
Eπιστροφή απ την άσφαλτο με μικρές στάσεις στο περιπτεράκι με τη θέα και τους πάγκους ,και τη θέση Σκαντρίδο, επίσης με θέα αλλά και χώρο ξεκούρασης. Στη συνέχεια μικρή παράκαμψη δια μέσου των παλιών μιτάτων και με άλλη μία στάση στη σπηλιά Γαιδουρότρυπα έκλεισε η βόλτα.
Νερό δεν υπάρχει στη πορεία.
