Itinerary description
We did this trail counterclockwise, ascending the steps to the right of the information board. The trail climbs steadily with panoramic views of the Athabasca River and the town of Jasper. From the top of Fort Hill is an expansive panorama of the valley below. From here the trail steadily descends back to the car park. Be sure to hike up to the iconic Red Chairs, a great spot to stop for lunch. There is a marker on a tree showing you the path up to the chairs.
