Suitable for adventurous day hikers, Nasaasaaq bluff has impressive views over Sisimiut, Palasip Qaqqaa, and the mountains near Itilleq. It also has a unique 180-degree view to the east, with Nasaasaaq’s peak separating the lush valley on one side from the sapphire-blue Amerloq fjord on the other.
The trail is narrow but well-marked with some steep sections.
It is also possible to climb to the summit if you are very confident in your abilities. The trail is well-marked but does become extremely steep and narrow with vertical drops on either side. There is some assistance to help with two rock climbs. Get GPX track at the website.
