Itinerary description
In 1968, three US Air Force training jets crashed into the hills around Kangerlussuaq due to bad weather. This trail visits the wreckage of one of these, located on the edge of a small lake.
** Please help us preserve what remains by not disturbing, altering or removing anything from the site. **
The trail from the road to the crash site is very narrow but well-marked with a moderate grade. It can be slippery when wet.
From the wreck, it is possible to hike down an old 4x4 track to arrive at Tasersuatsiaq / Lake Ferguson instead of returning by the same route.
