Itinerary description
Hike from Nyon to St. Cergue. Initially passing through picturesque farming lands until arriving to Trélex. After that the route enters in the Jura mountain and becomes lightly steeper to moderately steeper as we get closer to St. Cergue. Unfortunately the path cuts through roads several times, with frequent cars and motorbikes, thus I wouldn’t recommend this hike for children. Closer to St Cergue we will find the remains of ancient stone roads, known as roman roads. I would recommend to start the hike early in the morning, as there is little to no shadow to protect you from the midday sun. Unfortunately it is a noisy hike, due to the frequent crossing through roads with motorbike aficionados.
