Itinerary description
a well deserved name for a weird monastery-mountain. First striking clues was small gambling machines disseminated across the land. Big local tourism industry at the top. Surprisingly a huge number of locals were camping in the vicinity of the big temple but a security guy deny us permission and it was impossible to talk to the monks. So we kept walking at dusk to leave town. after doing so we stopped at the small shop to eat something, the owners were visibly not comfortable us setting tent near their shop (which was a quiet unusual response for vietnam). So we kept following the road at night to find kind of a restaurant/guest house saying we could sleep here for 50,000 VND which we accepted. But after 30min a policeman showed up and wanted us to go back to the lake to get a hotel. After 40min arguing and politely refusing the go down he finally let us leave when we told him we gonna go down his mountain (middle of the night) to get a hotel in the next city (7km away). after 20min struggling to find the right path at night we found a nice unoccupied spot for us to finally pitch the tent.
