Itinerary description
We woke up at 4 am to discover that Hazem, our team leader, is not feeling good. He will stay at the hut and we will continue with the Shepras guides.
We left at 6am, the weather was good, a little cloudy but thankfully not windy like the day before.
After we gained 250m of altitude and walked around 5 km, we arrived to Gorakchep Town at 10 am.
We had our early lunch and the plan was to leave to EBC at noon.
That was when I started shivering and my body temperature rose to 39 degrees.
It was very intense on my body but it wasn't an option for me not to reach EBC.
I took couple of pills and hit the road again. After walking for 3.5 km we reached Everest Base Camp at 3564 m of altitude.
We stayed for 30 min taking pics and enjoying the view around us and especially the view over the impressive Camp.
On the way back, it was snowing again and my cituation got worse.
I don't know how I managed to get back to the hut, but once there at 15h00, I took some pills again and slept till 6 am the next day.
