Itinerary description

Fun, local trail with easy-access free parking. Trail splits itself between approx 35% paved American River Bike Trail and 65% meandering dirt trails.

Some short rocky steep climbs & descents that could cause slipping or ankle twisting. Use trekking poles as needed based on your abilities. Some bike rutting, some roots, and 1 nasty pipe sticking out of the ground. However, very navigable and easy to follow.

Though you’re closely surrounding by signs of humanity, you’ll get to immerse yourself “enough” into Nature to give yourself an amazing historic river hike hidden right in view!

Great hike, and a chance to see a bald eagle, if you're lucky.
