Itinerary description
Nice hike in a small manmade forest. All the trails there are a combination of linear trails which can be started from different locations around the hills. In order to make them circular you should combine official trails with unofficial parts, as I did. Nice views on surrounding villages, Larnaca and nearby hills with wind generators.
I planned a route so to visit Agia Thekla monastery, which is one of the starting points for the trails as well, and I have to admit that it's really beautiful and cozy and deserves to be visited. There is a source of sacred stream, where you can get your bottles filled.
TERRAIN: a combination of dirt roads, forest paths and fire breakers. Constant ascent to the view points, then descent with some ups but mostly downs. Better have proper shoes and poles, will help you on fire breakers.
SEASON: the forest part is in shade for 50-60%, shade on other roads depends mostly on the time of the day and position of the sun. The unofficial part I used on the way back is mostly exposed to the sun.
During rainy season the fire breakers as well as other roads may become really muddy, as they are formed of red clay.
SIGNS: the trails are very poor signposted. I suppose that trail maps are located at every starting point but there are no signs indicating trails further. On my route there were few random plant sings along the the forest path, plus a couple of ruined benches. In all other cases you should use navigation in the app or try to follow the map.
KIDS: Ok for kids of all ages (official parts).

Thank you very much for yet another beautiful trail
@Groomph, my pleasure! Thank you for the review.
In the end of January 2024 there was road building on the trail, so we had to climb to return on the trail once.
Looks like the road will be there since now.
During the rain it was very dirty. Be ready with your boots. The scenery was beautiful.
