Itinerary description
This is rather short trail in Delikipos village and surroundings. The trail is circular but the main destination point is a small dam which most likely has seasonal nature and is absolutely dry during late summer/autumn as well as the river feeding it.
We made a small detour and went around the dam, however during the rainy season if you follow my route you most likely will have to cross a river returning back on trail.
Start of the trail is near the church where there are plenty of parking places. We walked the trail in opposite direction and it doesn’t matter much which way to go. There is an alternative starting point which i marked. By starting from there you may eliminate a walk around the village and thus shorten the trail.
There is as well a picnic site slightly off the trail.
TERRAIN: asphalt roads in the village, dirt forest car roads and narrow forest paths. Light ascents and descents.
SEASON: about 70-80% of the trail is fully exposed to the sun. In winter there should be water in the river and dam.
SIGNS: there are almost no signs (I witnessed only two direction signs) but trail is easy to follow looking at the map. There are a few benches on the trail.
KIDS: perfect for kids of any age (if following the official trail) but no prams. There is a goat farm on the way.
