Itinerary description
Easy trail, 90 minutes approximately. Interesting trail accross the jungle, well indicated and easy to follow. Available for everyone with an average fitness level.
Main difficulties: Steep in some parts, but not difficult if the terrain is dry. Not suitable after raining. Irregular terrain, a lot of roots all the way.
How to get here: take bus 101 from Georgetown to Teluk Bahang. The last stop is in front of the entry of the National Park (in some places indicated as Taman Negara, the malay words for National Park; do not confuse with the National Park Tamang Negara). The bus takes about 1:15 hours and costs 4 MYR. In the visitor centre at the park entrance, you have to register as visitor (it is free) and you get information about the trails of the park. Enjoy!

This was a lovely and simple trail to follow. We started off at 0800 and took approximately 1hr 40mins at a slow pace.
The route we took was 1 way and hitched a boat ride back, stopping at Monkey Beach on the way back( not advisable to swim due to jellyfish, had to rescue a group of kids and send them back as 1 of them got stung on both feet!!)
The trail itself was properly maintained with a lot of concerete steps and ropes to help support your steps.
This trek is ideal for beginners and families to start with.
Loved the way it ended with a bridge that led straight to the beach. There's also a turtle conservatory but we decided to give it a miss. Might be worth looking at.
