Itinerary description
Joined up with friend Michael Henry to take on two bushwhacks in a big "loop", spotting a car at Signal Ridge trailhead. Nancy Pond trail is among the most beautiful in the Whites, with its cascades, the two higher-altitude ponds, and varying forest types as you go deeper and deeper into the Pemi wilderness. Longer mileage on this trip, but the flatter terrain of Nancy Pond and Carrigain Notch trails made for quick going. Weather treated us unexpectedly to clear skies and undercast conditions. Fantastic, challenging day.
