Itinerary description

Nice loop, climbing first Adam's peak and turning right in a junction in the way back.

After the junction the way es pretty clear, no way to get lost. We are going to walk for few km along the rain forest, completely alone since no one does this trail. Afterwards we will reach the tea plantations, spectacular views from the begining to the very end. In the way back we will cross some country side villages, where we will be recieved as kings since there are very few tourists doing this trek.

Very very nice if you want to go off the beaten track, meet nice locals and forget the crowds of piligrims climbing Adam's peak.

Gorgeous route. Didn't climb to the top because of the crowd, instead turn left to the jungle trek, and 100m later you have a wonderful spot for the sunrise.
The part after the jungle, in the tea plantations is stunning, same goes with the locals interaction. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Adria,

I see that you hiked this loop in December, we are planning in December too.

Was the alternative descent you took was clear and visible after the rains season or you needed clearing of plants ?

    Thanks.
