Itinerary description

It was a sunny day in the middle of July, I strongly recommend bringing two bottles of water if not more. The hike was relatively easy, as a guard from the Kenyan military forest has to compulsory go with you. There is approx 620 m of descent on very loose terrain which can lead to falls, I fall myself three times without hurting myself but I was lucky on a couple of them at least. The descent is done fast, in about an hour we were already in the bottom of the valley. Then we walked for about an hour and a half going slightly uphill. On the way we could see many charcoal and minerals which certainly shaped the way beautifully. The last bit leading to the caves is perhaps the most demanding though its well paid in the end with an astonishing scenario. The first cave looks like an oasis, there is evidence of people coming and going regularly there to camp, most of them local nomads. The second one is a sanctuary in which indigineous people pray against walls, certainly interesting to see it for yourself. The third cave has not yet been fully explored, it is fully dark so a torch is needed to navigate. There are bats but they are harmless.
All in all, this is a very interesting route to see.
