Itinerary description
The proper trail portion of this hike is a very short but steep climb to the top of Murray's Peak where there is an expansive view of the southern end of Conception Bay. The hike on that initial portion takes just about 20 minutes - as such, it's not necessarily long enough to warrant a trip to the area for a hike.
However, when combined with various ATV trails beyond the lookout, as well as a short section of the pole line and Route 60, this becomes a nice 4km loop - over an hour of hiking at a relaxed pace.
This area is also good for a day hike for those camping at Butter Pot Provincial Park, assuming they've already checked out the more impressive hike to the summit of Butter Pot.
