Itinerary description
Mount Api (Malay: Gunung Api) is a limestone mountain located in Gunung Mulu National Park in Sarawak, Malaysia. Neighbouring Mount Benarat and Mount Buda are part of the same formation. Mount Api is famous for its striking limestone karst formations, commonly called "the pinnacles".
The mountain is host to many caves, with passages linking to the massive Clearwater Cave system. Api Chamber, the second-largest chamber in Malaysia, was discovered on Mount Api during the Benarat 2005 Caving Expedition.
Mount Api is notable for its pitcher plant diversity, which includes at least eight species: Nepenthes campanulata, Nepenthes faizaliana, Nepenthes hurrelliana, Nepenthes lowii, Nepenthes muluensis, Nepenthes tentaculata, Nepenthes veitchii, and Nepenthes vogelii.

✴️ Camp 5 can only accommodate 30 pax at any single day. Kitchen available for cooking and water boiling
✴️ Bring 1.5 litre of water for the 9KM trek and 2-3 litre for summit attacked
✴️ Advisable to bring sleeping bag, weather at night is cold

Initerary:
🔹Day 01: Wednesday, 03 August 2022🔹
From Miri Airport to Mulu Airport by MAS Wing. Took 30 minutes
▪️After reaching airport, transferred by 4WD to Mulu National Park. 5 minutes driving distance
▫️Check in hostel, stay in Long house 1, 4 bedded room
▪️ Proceed to visit Deer Cave, Lang Cave and bat exodus
▫️Dinner / free & easy
🔹Day 02: Thursday, 04 August 2022🔹
After breakfast, taking boat to handicrafts center, The Wind Cave & Clear Water Cave. ▪️Lunch at Clear Water Cave Pavilion
▫️Then riding boat for another 10 minutes to trail head - Kuala Litut shelter
▪️From here trek for 9KM (2-3 hours) to Camp 5.
▫️Dinner & overnight at Camp 5, staying in Room 3,18 bedded open space room.
▪️ Can bring your swimwear, nice swimming spot at Camp 5
🔹Day 03: Friday, 05 August 2022🔹
Wake up at 5am, breakfast and prepare for summit attack.
▪️After briefing, start our hiking at 0630 hrs
▫️Only 2.4KM but need to trek about 3-4 hours. The first 2KM was easy and ascending all the way, challenges start after 2KM
▪️Need to cross 17 ladders & some obstacles
▫️Make it to Gunung Api summit after 3H49M hike. Stunning scenery looking over Pinnacles
▪️Trek down the same route back to Camp 5.
▫️Dinner & overnight at Camp 5
🔹Day 04: Saturday, 06 August 2022🔹
Wake up at 0600 hrs, breakfast and prepare for check out
▪️Today need to trek back to trail head for another 9KM. Start from 0700 hrs
▫️Raining all the way until we reach Kuala Litut Shelter
▪️Riding boat back to Mulu National Park HQ. It took about an hour
▫️ After shower and lunch, visit the souvenir shop for final shopping. U can purchase postcard and fridge magnet here
▪️Certificate presentation by guide and transferred by van to Mulu airport
▫️Flight at 1230 hrs and it took half an hour to Miri airport
▪️Check in Miri Hotel, free & easy. Enjoying our celebration seafood dinner at Sea Village Seafood Restaurant 海外天海鲜楼 at Miri Waterfront and finale beer drinking party
🔹Day 05: Sunday, 07 August 2022🔹
Today will be goodbye to everyone and flight back to destination city
