Itinerary description
The trail starts at Waipio Valley Overlook and at the beginning it's a steep downhill. Then the trail goes through the forest along the beach. You have to pass a small river (you can see it on the picture) which I did with the shoes in my hands, because I didn't want to hike with a wet shoes and socks. After that the trail really begins and this was one of the highlights of all my hiking in Hawaii. Unfortunately I haven't time to do it all (it takes you whole day) but you can just proceed through all the valleys. If you will do mine trial (that means a loop) be prepared for a very very steep uphill at the end. The trail its easy but the last part was strenuous.
