Itinerary description
We started walking from Montricher at around 5 pm. After stopping a few times on the way up, we reached the summit 45 min before sunset. It was one of those unusual days without strong winds, just a light breeze that allowed us to eat at the top while the sun was setting. Guided by an almost full moon, and our headlamps, we descended following our way up with brief deviations from the path here and there. When you get to the open field almost 2/3 of the way down, it's worth to take a moment to turn away from the moon and look up. If skies are clear this will make your day.
