Itinerary description

With Kuala Lumpur Hiking and Trail Running

Plus/Minus 1km (alternate route), should actually be 18.99km (+/-), including the distance from Actual Trailhead, to Carpark (to/fro)

PS: There's a slightly damaged, metal bridge, thanks to the overweight lorries, laden with fruits/stuff (as told by the locals). Cross at own risk! Thus why we had to park, further away from the Actual Trailhead, which offers better parking spots, and of course, nearer. The potentials, of either, having your tires burst, due to the cracks on the metal plates, or worse, having your vehicle falling through the bridge, is very high.

If you're looking to avoid the much technical (harder) side of the original trail, this is the way to go in, from. Apologies though, completely forgotten to mark on the trail mapping, where this alternate route will take you out, to. However, it'll completely bypass CP2 to CP4, if I'm not wrong. That doesn't mean it's easier, but at least, it's not technically challenging. And, believe me, the original trail, from CP2 to CP4, will be damn technical, especially during wet seasons.

U-Turn

Yeah. Didn't go all the way, since I've already reached the summit, and I was on the way down to trailhead. Not gonna go all the way, and repeat the technical side of the trail, which I believe starts from CP2, all the way to CP4. Just wanna show y'all that it's possible.

Congratulations! One question, is the parking place quite far from trailhead?

Yup. Bout' 1.5 to 2.5km ( /-). However, we also observed the locals, with their vehicles. They simply drove through, albeit, carefully. Totally up to you, though. It's an accident, waiting to happen.

    Correction, 1.5 to 1.8km ( /-)

Thanks bro. So the information I've heard checked out i.e. the parking quite far and better get a 4WD transportation. But this shouldn't be a problem. Maybe just have to start much earlier. Thanks again bro.

Well. U do not need 4wd personally, if u plan to park at where we parked. Regular cars would suffice. However, if u plan to park at trailhead, sure. But, do be careful with that bridge.
