Itinerary description
Girraweeen National Park (35km south of Stanthorpe), has three main hiking tracks from the Information Centre/ Camping area. The "Southern Tracks" are 15km return (5 hours) and take you to Castle Rock, The Sphinx/ Turtle Rock and Mt Norman. When you enter this area you will soon realize why its part of the "Granite Belt" as there are huge granite boulders strewn across the hilly landscape. The track is very undulating but well signed and definitely worth the walk.
