Itinerary description
Epic sunrise hike to cave and then up to summit. You will need GPS for this loop as there is no clear path. It involves bush bashing, clearing of spider webs, scrambling and lots of ups and downs over loose leafy off camber ground. The west ridge line to the top is tough need good fitness. Having done the tourist route we enjoyed this longer trail as an alternative. It took about 61/2hours but we stopped at cave and summit for about an hour of this time. Enjoy!
