Itinerary description
Karasawa is surrounded by the highest peaks of Japan such as Okuhodaka, Kitahodake, Maehodaka and this area is famous for its particularly beautiful autumn leaves on high mountain area in Japan.
In order to enjoy the scenery from the mountains such as at least one night stay at Karasawa where you can find two mountain lodges or renting tent. If you like to visit Okuhodaka or other high mountains, you must add at least one more night stay is recommended. Beginners can enjoy Karasawa valley only. You should be a good hiker to climb higher mountains such as Okuhodaka, Kitahodaka or Maehodaka. You need a caution because every year this mountain area dies from accident.
