Itinerary description
A moderate and enjoyable hike on top of Yulludunida's ancient crater. The trail starts at Green Camp carpark and ends at the end of Mt. Yulludunida's ridge.
The return was done by going closer to the base of the cliff to avoid the scrub bash.
There is only one sketchy point on the ridge (balancing rock, it looks like an avocado lying sideways). We skirted it by going on the left side (inner part of the crater). It's very short, 2-3 m tops but very exposed; solid hand holds though.
The rest of the ridge is pretty straight forward and offers no difficulties.
Note: Best to camp at either Bark Hut campground, 14km away from the park entrance, (flushable toilets, hot showers, fire places, picnic tables, BBQ, rubbish bins, and several man-made spots to pitch your tent). Very well maintained and clean. Or at Dawson's Spring which is further up on the road. It has self-contained huts if you prefer more comfort.
Camp fees apply.
