Itinerary description
The Mt Hobwee circuit branches off the Wagawn track 2km after the Border track junction. The most significant feature is a group of Arctic Beach trees near the top of Mt Hobwee.
The track is subject to tree fall but is good. Expect to be bitten by leeches in wet weather.
There are a number of great lookouts on the way that looked out towards the Lamington section of forest and mountains.
The circuit rejoins the Border Track for the return to the Binna Burra trailhead.
This park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, famed for its ongoing geological processes, evolutionary history, and diversity (especially of rare, threatened and endemic species).
