Itinerary description
I started this walk on Spowers Road. Turn right off Ward Road then follow Spowers all the way to the gate. Take care after rain, I used the 4x4 on my car for traction. The road is steep in places and needs grading,
I followed the fire trail roads until I made a left turn on to the thin summit track. There are some ribbons in places and it’s pretty easy to follow. You must not be too precious about spiders here... there are heaps.
The track up is steep and requires a bit of skill but it’s fair.
Once at the top you will get 360 views although obstructed, it’s still ok. I was able to see faint trails on the other side of the mountain, there is a rock scramble side I’d like to explore one day.
On the way back to the car I discovered the ridge track that leads to the Goolman Lookout. Looks like it’s used by mountain bikers and massive kangaroos.
A nice little walk to do if you feel like something different to do and not so well trodden.

Great to see you put this one up Tracy! Awesome stuff.
I just did this hike based on your notes, Tracy! I did a YT video on it with a shout out to you and your excellent trail notes on Wikiloc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jABY6SIU6us

I follow this trail from the carpark at the end Spowers Road to the summit and to the lookout. However I did not do the loop but came down from the lookout and took the firetrail back to the carpark.
