Itinerary description

There is limited off road parking near the Dog Rocks Saddle, cross Joseph Young drive and pick up the Leanganook track and follow through some spectacular rocky tors to Lang's lookout, views were limited due to the low cloud, now follow the track towards Bendigo till the junction with the Ballantinia track ( not marked )which took back up to Joseph Young drive, we then followed this back to our vehicle.
We did this walk in low cloud, so it was damp all the way, but this did not detract from some beautiful bush. There were many sightings of kangaroos in various spots.
The trail was mainly narrow bush tracks for the first 5 klm's and was clearly sign posted, the last was part along the side of Joseph Young drive, where we observed some huge granite blocks high up on the RHS, which appear to be from an old quarry.

Good footwear is essential due to the rocky terrain.
