MOUNT SINAI - SUMMIT - Nh 2021 REAL LIFE DESCRIPTION
1. TAKE EVERYTHING THAT YOU HAVE FOR THE COOLD WEATHER THIS MOUTIAN IS FREEZING AND IF YOU DONT HAVE GOOD CLOHTHING YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR A THICK BLANKET IN THE SUMMIT FOR 300 EGYP.
2. Hire a GOOD GUIDE!!!
Be careful guides just want to go up and come down as quick as they can! So be clear with want you want!
3. Take some water and food! Things up there are expensive!
4. THE ACTUALIAZED PRICE FOR CLIMBING UP IS 250 EGYPTIAN POUNDS FOR THE GROUP!!!! ( THIS MEANS THE GUIDE WHILE CHARGE JUST 250) SO TRY TO GO WITH MORE PEOPLE TO LEASSEN THE PRICE!

Can you recomend us a guide?
Guides are given by chance, when you arrive at the police control, just make sure tô arrive at midnight, an then you can get a Guide the normal charge is 250 per Guide, who can Guide 4 or 5 people I think

3. How far is the hike start from the town ?
4. Would you suggest anymore hikes in the area ? we will be in Catherine village for 2 full days.

Night hike is the best! Dont doubt
Guides during the morning maybe yes, maybe no, because they only climb at night dont fear anything is super safe and amazing…
The most supreme hike in all egypt is Mount Catherine, it is more chalenging and more difficult. I remember summiting Mount Sinai at 3:30 am morning and you can se in the front in Mount saint catherin… it was -16 below 0 Celsius in the summit of Sinai inmagine in the summit of Mount Saint Catherine… I saw the
Black clouds covering mount saint Catherine as it is Higher… but you could do so… just grab a good guide, GPS And go in the Day maybe 4 am you could start and summit at 11:00 am then the Sun of the desert kills you m… good luck my friend

Now in late April, weather should be nice for a daylight hike.
As we are in Catherine area only for 2 days (1 night ), I have to plan my activities well.
I would try for an early start.
