Itinerary description
Mount Rinjani, so many climbers and nature lovers dream and dream of setting foot in this area that has been recognized as a Global Geopark. Apart from having millions of beauties in it, this mountain has its own challenges for outdoor activity activists because of its height predicate. But Rinjani guarantees that it is mandatory for anyone who wants to reach the peak not to fall easily, not to be discouraged, and to have high mental endurance. So, what is the process of climbing the highest mountain in the Sunda lesser islands? The following is a summary of the climb.
Ascent to the impressive Mount Rinjani volcano in 3 days. First day, from the Sembalun Lawang village (1100 m) to the 1st base camp of Pelawangan Sembalun (2600 m), where we have the incredible views of Segara Anak Lake and the cone of the active volcano, Mount Barujari. On the second day we get up about 02.00 in the morning to undertake a climb of about 8 hours to the top of the majestic volcano, 3726 m with slow-pace steps. These 1100 m of unevenness are surely the hardest of the trekking, due to the inclination, the cold, the strong wind and terrain, volcanic sand that makes climbing difficult. Before i've arrived to the top, an incredible sunrise has appears and it's very beautiful. and We also amazed by breathtaking views of the entire island. We return to the camp for lunch, enjoyed the rest days, and continue the descent to the Sembalun again.
