Itinerary description
With Kuala Lumpur Hiking & Trail Running group
It rained, from Saturday@17:00, all the way till Sunday@03:00. Knowing that, kinda expected that Nuang's challenging trail, would be made even harder, what's with river water slightly raised, muddy trail, from Lolo Campsite, all the way to summit, and potential fresh landslide. What I didn't expect was the so-called 5km "Neverending Road". Apparently, the authority-that-be, has began a massive drainage project, trying to improve drainage along this 5km stretch. And guess what. From the end of the cemented road, all the way to the first river crossing, it is HELL! Mud is everywhere! Super slippery, and made everyone doubling their efforts, and energy, trying to clear this hellish 5km stretch. And returning back to this stretch, after spending so much energy on tackling Nuang's super muddy trail, takes it out of you. Lucky me at least, since I've busted both of my knees, from Trans Gerah, Bilah and Bieh, 3 months back, I've started using double hiking sticks, which helped tremendously with Trans Tahan, 2 weeks back, and now, made it slightly breezy, clearing this stretch.
That's not all, though. Upon heading towards Pengasih, from Pacat's Campsite, I was shocked again, at the full extent of how dangerously-looking the rockfall section is. 250m stretch of 60°, sometimes 70°, sometimes 80° steep climb of boulders and rocks, sitting precariously, on loose soils. A few of these rocks and boulders, are so loose, making me scared of what might happen. I guess, these idiots-in-power, would only take immediate action, once someone died being crushed by these boulders, liked how they closed Nuang for a few years, and add sections of ladders, after an unlucky soul fell to his death, tackling said section. We shall see...

Rockfall Section
Took this, in the middle of down-climbing it. This section is about 250m (+/-) high. Either on the way up to Pengasih, or down from it, both looked deadly. A minor landslide has already took a section of Pengasih. Just wanna show, it is really worsening. Loose rocks and boulders, hanging on to very loose soils. One of these days, this particular section will claim lives, someday.

Water Source
Steep climb down/up. Water looks amazing, though not crystal clear. Would advice to filter, just in case, being that it's not actually a big river or anything. But, I'm ok, so far, after drinking it, unfiltered🤣
