Itinerary description

A very lovely hike with amazing views of Van Lake and the surrounding mountains. The elevation listed here is definitely not correct it was probably close to 1300m. The distance is probably closer to 20kms then 13km.

I didn't make it to the peak as there was still too much snow and ice. I was about 50 meters in altitude below it. I think it would be another 20 minutes to the top.

There are clear trails in parts. But in other parts I had to follow the GPS. There's a few tricky bits that involve a bit of climbing and careful footing. But just look for the best routes, I found they were usually on the rocks.

I think that starting from May would be the best time to make it to the peak.

You can get a minivan for 5 lira to Kevenli from the city centre. You can walk from the city centre for about an hour to the starting point too.
