Itinerary description
Paid £3 to park before realising the route started at the free parking area at the end of the public road (another 1.5km further on). No stalking issues at the weekend.
Set off at 8.30am and soon joined the Mounth road taking us through stunning mature Scots pines for 7km before leaving the National Nature Reserve behind to enter the open glen. We continued up the glen crossing three bridges, before we join the track leading us to the summit marked by a trig point sitting atop a rocky outcrop quite uncharacteristic of the sweeping heather slopes all around. Returned by the same route.
