Itinerary description

We parked the car where Lepidozamia Road/Fire Break meets the Mount Glorious Road, which is 6.2km past the Mt Glorious township and 3km before the Wivenhoe Outlook. There is a locked gate near the start of Lepidozamia Road, with ample room to park a few cars, but please leave access for Parks and emergency vehicles to access the track.
After walking past the gate, the turn off to the track is about 50m on the right. There are a few fallen obstacles to pass in the first few hundred metres but the track improves after that. There is an old survey marked tree on the left of track about 380 metres from the start of the walking track.
At the Big Log We took the track to the right. The turn off to the Piper Comanche Plane Wreck is well marked with flagging tape.
We continued past this turn off with the intention of reaching Mt D'Aguilar.
We reached the Trig Point but after this the trail became quite indistinguishable but we pressed on following a previously logged walk by another hiker. Eventually we reached a small peak and found a trail and flagging tape there so we followed it a little further east down a ridge but decided to return due to time constraints. We followed this flagged trail directly back toward the main trail we were following earlier, rejoining near a rock cairn.
Next time we attempt to reach Mt D'Aguilar we will take this turn off just past the small rock cairn instead of continuing to the trig point. I have marked the bits of trail on the Openstreetmap that can be followed and suggest you use a gps after passing the turn off to the aircraft wreck and track is aided by the use of flagging tape.
