Itinerary description
So today, being in lockdown, I decided to follow Michael999's wikiloc on a trail close to home. This is 22.5km long so its a serious walk. Currently, 90% of the trail is well maintained. The only long grass moments were at 15.5km when I turned right (please don't bother taking this path down to the river, its not worth it....) Then at the 17.92km mark the trail becomes faint and not maintained. Its well worth following as you get to walk close to the river here and enjoy the water views.
I took a couple of wrong turns and investigated a little off track here and there.
The hoop pine forest close to the end was a nice surprise and somewhat intriguing !!
All in all, its a great walk!! Picked a good day weather wise. Would never do it past winter though. Would be a very hot walk.
Its hilly at times, but nothing compared to Scenic Rim 😂. Mostly interesting except for the part from Kholo Bridge to the Kholo Rd (about 4km of boredom).
I'd do it again!!

River view
Not really worth it unless you have long pants and gaiters on…. Even then, it’s probably not worth it.

Stunning photos, it's on my to do list. Thank you for the great description I think I'll give it a go as its my local area. ? Are you allowed to walk with a dog?
As far as I know dogs would be ok ? It’s all Seqwater land mostly. Signs everywhere saying keep out to motor cycles, cars and horses but walkers ok. Lots of locals use the tracks often. There is live baiting going on so just be mindful of that with your doggy. Enjoy.
Thank you Tracy. I keep my dog on a lead at all times. Looking forward to doing the walk.
Enjoy! We live in such a great area for hiking adventure that’s for sure.
