Itinerary description
Beautiful, cone shaped, dormant volcano. Mount Cikuray is the highest peak of the Parahyangan and East Priangan highlands. The trailhead is from Cilawu-TV-Transmitter-Station (ca. 1,520 m), leading through the tea plantation and dry gardens to the ridge through forest to the top. You can climb the top in 5 to 7 hr; the descend takes 4h. I did it with my other seven friends as a 2 day one night hike and take summit attack at 5 a.m. there is water source at the stall's Cilawu-TV-Tower, stalls near the first post, and sixth post (Puncak bayangan - Transit camp, but only available at weekend). Uniquely, you can buy a portion of Baso Tahu at the top just 10K IDR in weekday.
