This was the beginning of the journeys in New Zealand, the first walk to enter a wonderful lodge where we had the opportunity to sleep for two nights.
In the morning we climbed what was a tireless ascent of 1,400 meters that, despite its unevenness, made each stage enjoyable, passing through a mythical forest, until we left it to ascend to where the tree line breaks and the views of the valleys and mountains that mark this incredible place.
Here we discovered the Kea's, these endemic New Zealand parakeets that are in danger of extinction and at the same time bring indescribable joy wherever they go, with their squawks, their way of chewing everything that is chewable, their indifference towards human beings and their way of being independent that taught me a life lesson.
