Itinerary description
Circle from the Lazarev’s cave, through the canyon and then back.
Very cool track, but also very difficult.
I’ve started recording a couple I’m after the actual start. Here is the full trek:
Check out this trail from @Wikiloc! https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/lazareva-pecina-lazarev-kanjon-korito-koveja-petrine-stene-domacinstvo-mustecic-lazareva-pecina-60460532 (Lazareva pecina-Lazarev kanjon-korito Koveja-Petrine stene (domacinstvo Mustecic)-Lazareva pecina)
First half of the track you walk on the river bed. Expect lots of stones, boulder and pebbles of any size and shape.
The suddenly a Revier bed becomes a small stream, then a large stream, then a full river with rapids and waterfalls. But you are in a canyon, there is nowhere to go except to manoeuvre around all of this.
This trail is not strictly hiking. You’ll have to do a lot of scrambling as well.
For example, when it’s finally time to get out of the canyon, the wall is roughly 60 degrees with a metal rope, right to the trees.
All in all it was with it.
Avoid if you are complete beginner. Avoid if the weather is shy from perfect.
