Itinerary description
To start the new maintenance sections are wide and level with no down trees or obstacles. Later on though the trail is less user friendly. Very narrow areas, one dry creek rocky crossing that has unstable footing. Best to have a trekking pole or two and good shoes. Be comfortable on difficult terrain for a short distance. Well worth the short effort!

wow. trail angels from one of those organizations we both belong to have really been working on the trail. (But then you knew that.) Trail was wonderful today. It has been cleared of the tree, pruned and the trailbed has been improved. A lovely trail with some of the character of Steven's trail without the crowds.
The trail has some obsessive bushwhacker, gardener types looking out for its maintenance! It is now fantastic!
