Itinerary description
Easy trail in the mountains of Douro river valley for those who is willing to get away from the overpopulated region of Porto. No tourists, world of silence and magnificent panoramic views.
The place can be reached by "historic" train Porto - Pocinho starting at the Freixo do Numao (Mos do Douro) train station. The train runs for about one and half hour along the rocky banks of the river giving an opportunity to enjoy beautiful sights of this famous part of Portugal. Check train schedule on the website www.cp.pt for proper planning.
