Itinerary description

This historic park is the perfect place for locals and tourists to learn about the hidden history of Wake County’s oldest plantation. The park is free to walk through and visitors can schedule a tour to get a first-hand look at the inside of this historic place. Not only does this park hold the very building that President Andrew Johnson was born in, but visitors get to see the original pieces of belongings that were once owned by the Lane-Mordecai families.
Before or after visiting the park, be sure to walk around the surrounding area and provide your support towards local eateries. Take a trip to the Layered Croissanterie, Wilson's Eatery, or Anisette for a small bite to eat with Raleigh locals!
