To get there, follow the Maligne Lake road to the end (44 km). The trailhead begins near the Bald Hills kiosk. Cross the Maligne Lake boat launch area from the parking lot
The Moose Lake Loop Trail remains primarily in Jasper's Woods.
Thousands of years ago, half a trillion cubic meters of rock fell from a ridge on the other side of Maligne Lake, blocking the valley and enlarging the lake to what we see today.
Spectacular scenery can be witnessed among the rubble of this landslide.
The trail begins at the parking lot at the end of the road, past Evil Lake.
There we take the Bald Hills Trail after 300 m, we will find a detour to the left that crosses a stream, and we will continue along it until we reach Moose Lake without loss.
Once there follow the marked and wide path to the left, and without letting it reach the shores of Maligne Lake, then continue along the lake shore until you reach the car park.
It's a circular route, with great views of Maligne Lake and Moose Lake, but otherwise a walk through the woods, flat and easy for the most part.
It is very common to see large wild animals here, especially moose, but we did not see any.
ENJOY!!!
