Itinerary description

Free parking at Falcon Crest. No bathrooms.

Take Monte Vista South trail downhill to Brown’s Ravine trail to follow the trail south to New York Creek bridge. There is a big log for sitting on at the halfway point of this recording. On the return, I continued to the Monte Vista North trail creating a small lollipop that will take you up to a fantastic viewing area at the potable water location which also has picnic tables.

PS - I’ve hiked this hike many times and never, until today, saw Lake Folsom so low that we were seeing and hearing the actual creek with no lake water covering it!
