Ascent to Mount Sinai "Gebel Musa" or Mount of Moses (2285 m) from the Monastery of Santa Catalina at night (1:00 am), to see the sunrise at the summit.
We follow the "Camel Path" or camel path, a comfortable path to the point of connection with the oldest staircase that climbs from the same monastery to the top.
With about 700 m to go, the path ends and you have to follow a steep staircase that takes you directly to the summit.
Along the way there are several establishments where you can get supplies.
The views of the sunrise are impressive and the atmosphere of pilgrims is a very spiritual experience.
An essential trek for lovers of the mountains and nature if you travel to Egypt.
