Itinerary description
7 June 2020.
Awesome start from ancient hamlet Roccaramanico. Small parking areas below and above houses and a picturesque snack bar in a tiny square.
At start and on the final return trip from S. Leonardo, it's easy to be lured off path by a much more visible track which drags lower...
Climb is fairly intense but easy.
Missed the summit of Mt. Mileto due to weather deteriorating, but I am sure it must have been a great view on the valley to the west.
On the way back, the path cuts across a landslide, nothing worrisome but definitely the most demanding part.
Spotted a doe near S. Leonardo.
Luscious vegetation with plenty of flowers.
No dogs allowed on the high trail, unfortunately.
My 12-yr-old loved it, but she's a pretty good and happy walker...
