Itinerary description
This is a new walk around Monte Le Fergole.
I've already put a hike through the same area, but doesn't go through too much of the forest, more through the field. See here: http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=2197740
Around half of this hike goes through the thick forest. A large part, the track is quite wide and you may see people on horseback or motorbike, but there is also a part through the forest where you walk over a small track circling around trees.
Once you're outside the forest, you will see various pointy Trulli houses every few minutes. The landscape here is dotted with them.
If 10 km is too long, you can also cut this track almost in half (6 km). From the waypoint "Early Exit", you can take a short cut back to the starting point of the track.

Very nice, scenic area, but unfortunately, the first part of the hike (before reaching the forest) was through some terrain with no sign of walking trails, that is badly overgrown with wheat crop or weeds that are waist high. My wife and I had to abandon the trail about 1 after the start.

Un bel percorso che, però, ha richiesto delle variazioni in corso di camminata! Spesso, infatti, ci siamo trovati a dover entrare in proprietà privata e per ovviare abbiamo dovuto fare un tratto alternativo impervio ma entusiasmante! Il primo tratto panoramico (dove c'è la chiesa) è chiuso per lavori di ristrutturazione e per poter ritrovare il percorso bisogna camminare scavalcando muretti a secco e campagne. In generale un bel percorso nella natura: campagne, prati verdi, ulivi, fiori, volpi, pecore e trulli, tanti trulli stupendi! L ultimo tratto è il più bello per chi ama lo scenario montano: percorso in un boschetto con strettoie in salita e in discesa. In generale livello facile/medio.
We did it, it was really hard to find the trail without the paying app. We got lost several times and at last didn’t follow the trail.
Appart from that, it was really beautiful, the abandoned houses were beautiful and it was nice seeing the donkeys ! :)
The trullis were along the road, it was beautiful.

Het eerste deel is moeilijk te volgen omdat het veel over privé terrein gaat waarbij paden zijn afgesloten. Daarna makkelijke route door het bos.
Parcours difficile à suivre au début puis le tracé s’améliore par un véritable chemin dans la forêt.
Paysage d’oliveraie, de qq trulli et de forêt avec vue sur la plaine / mer.

Bel percorso! volevo segnalare che alcuni tratti sono adesso chiusi con rete (nella parte iniziale, c’è un edificio in ristrutturazione, abbiamo trovato cavalli liberi e cani e abbiamo scavalcato. Anche prima del bosco il percorso segnato è interrotto da una recinzione, ma si trova facilmente un altro sentiero .
