We started this circular route from the cable car that brought us from Tirana to the top of the Dajti Tower that houses the Belvedere Restaurant.
At the exit we find some gambling dens, no less than four, that offer us the possibility of sharpening our aim with pingball rifles.
As soon as we begin the ascent we find a casemate or machine gun nest before reaching what, in its time, was a hotel. Now, totally abandoned.
The climb to Mount Dajti is through an immense beech forest that rarely lets us see the sun. Halfway up, we came across a paved road that, according to what we were told, was made so that the dictator Enver Halil Hoxha would walk there.
At the Qershia pass, we take a breath of fresh air to make the last stretch to the top of Mount Dajti. In the only place clear of trees we were able to enjoy a panoramic view of Tirana.
At the top, a beautiful view of the Dinaric Alps with Lake Bovilla, an artificial lake that supplies drinking water to Tirana, awaited us.
