Itinerary description

The starting point is in Novezzina just after the “Astronomical Observatory” in a bend where there is plenty of space to park the car and you can find the path “657 - Monte Telegrafo Rifugio G. Barana”. The way up is through meadows first, a wood after, and while reaching 1900/2000 mt. till the Rifugio just some spots with grass and mainly rocks.

From the Rifugio Telegrafo and “Telegrafo peak” you can enjoy the beautiful view of the huge Garda lake looking north west / south west. Looking east the very green valley named “Val d’Adige” which takes the name from the main river of the area “Fiume Adige”.

Going on, path 651, walking north 1 hour, following the path that keeps going along the ridge of the whole Monte Baldo you will reach the top, “Cima Valdritta” , 2218 mt. where a big cross is, and where you can enjoy again the view of the lake which is more than 2000 mt. below !!!

To close the loop the way down was through a path between a lot of bush trees, last part of it in meadows with cows around and once you reach “Baito di Malga Novezza” you are basically done, 1 more km on asphalt road to be back at your car, happy and looking at the mountain crest visible from the carpark in the whole length.
