Spectacular route that leads to the highest point of the island of Martinique, the Montagne Pelée. The access takes us to the end of the D39 road where we leave the car in an esplanade, start of the route. From here we started to ascend the Aileron, to continue in what is going to be a legbreaker until we reach the highest point. Before, we will pass through the Plateau des Palmistes, the only flat place where we can rest our legs, to descend to the crater of the volcano, still active, and ascend a steep slope of rocks that will take us to the Troisième Refuge, not guarded. From here we attacked the final part of the ascent, which in my case I had to abandon due to lack of visibility in the presence of a very intense fog and the sound of a rescue helicopter that helped some hikers at the top. When you are so close to your goal it is difficult to throw in a towel, but the adverse conditions and the climatological uncertainty made me learn a lesson and leave with the desire to return someday to this magical place. The exit of the crater must be done with caution. From that point until the start, we will descend while enjoying, if time permits, incredible panoramas to the island. The beauty of this place is spectacular: green and black at the top of the jungle of Martinique.

Espectacular y hay que hacer sin niebla lo demás muy sencillo para los que están acostumbrados a realizar paseos
