Itinerary description
Starting from the beach of Kato Gatzea at Pagasitic Gulf (οr alternatively from Ano Lechonia -see route Ano Lechonia to Agios Georgios), the South Pelion Trail goes through the villages of Agios Georgios, Pinakates, Vizitsa, Milies, Neochori, Siki, Xinovrisi, Argalasti and Lafkos, ending at the beach of Platania to the Aegean Sea. It can be walked in 4-5 days, stopping for food and sleep at any village on our way (except Siki in the winter season). Best time to walk October to May (sun too hot in July and August). All villages have a bus connection to Volos (www.ktelvolou.gr). The trail was researched, cleared and signed by the Friends of Kalderimi of South Pelion Αssociation (www.friendsofthekalderimi.org) and Orivatikos Alpine Club of Volos, with help from local associations and individuals on a volunteering basis.

Generally quite well marked, although you will need to take the gps-track with you for on some spots it's not clear where to go. Lovely trail!
I did part of the trail again in October 2019 and noticed great improvements. There are some parts that still need seeing-to, but I'm confident this will follow.
Most advisable tour!
