Itinerary description
This route starts from the carpark of Monodendri. First you descend in to the Vikos gorge where the route splits at a water fountain; left is the route to Vikos, right is the route to Vitsa. The route to Vitsa takes you to the dry riverbed. The path then continues, switching from one side of the riverbed to the other until you reach a stretch where the river surfaces in a still pond. I suppose you can swim there but for me it was to cold. After continuing along the Vikos, you reach a bridge that you do not cross. The path leads to Vitsa and finally to Monodendri again.
