Itinerary description
This Beautiful walk starts in the village of Monchique. The Monchique Mountains are a real hiking paradise. It is located in a protected natural area, the Serra de Monchique, and has a rich flora and fauna. There is a chance that the weather in Monchique will not be as good as in the rest of the Algarve. When we did this walk there was 1 cloud exactly above the Monchique mountains. But in the afternoon the cloud was gone and we could enjoy a beautiful green nature!
Prachtig mooie wandeling die begint in het dorpje Monchique. Het Monchique-gebergte is een echt wandelparadijs. Het ligt in een beschermd natuurgebied, de Serra de Monchique, en is heeft een rijke flora en fauna. Er bestaat wel een kans dat het weer in Monchique minder goed is dan in de rest van de Algarve. Toe wij deze wandeling deden was er 1 wolk precies boven het Monchique gebergte. Maar in de middag was deze volledig verdampt en konden we genieten van een prachtige groene natuur!
